a first birthday is about so many things. it's not just the anniversary of the day your lives changed forever. it's a celebration of all the milestones your little one has passed, how much they've grown, what they've learned....and, it's about you. yes, YOU. you did it. let me say that again: YOU DID IT. you nurtured this little being all the way from helpless to the beginning stages of independence. and you SURVIVED. so it's your party, too. and after the planning and crafting and cooking finally comes to life and it's all right there in front of you - don't forget to take a moment to soak it all in. {and if that sounds like the impossible dream, be sure to hire a photographer so you can soak it all in later, in your pjs, with a glass of wine ;) }
